Lark Crafts recently sent me this book and today I'd like to share it here with you.
Have you been wanting to learn about screen printing on fabric? This new book is an excellent resource and even includes some great projects to get you started. The author discusses all the tools and supplies you'll need and covers several different techniques so that you can choose which one you think you'd like to start with.
There is a lot of information packed in this book, from using household items such as doilies and freezer paper to more advanced techniques using drawing fluid and photo emulsion. Learn about using inks, dyes, discharge agents, and more. You will learn how to reclaim a screen, apply the screen printed designs to fabric, create screen designs from wax rubbings, and much much more. There is a chapter about design placement, patterns, repeats and registration. And a bonus--the author has included some design templates for you to use. I love the Waves of Grain image (you can see it used in the the third photo down).
How would you like a chance to win this book? All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post. To be eligible, you must have a USA shipping address and please be sure I am able to contact you via email. I will draw the winning name on Monday, April 1.
