And here is the other project I have made some progress on today:

Surgery in the Studio
I bisected the doodle flower quilt. When I started this project, I was working from a sketch in my sketchbook that I had done a long while ago. When I sketched it I think I had other ideas in how I was going to create the design. All the while I've been working on it, I just couldn't figure out what I was going to do with the bottom half, so I decided to get rid of it. Poof!

Sometimes, lopping it off is the best thing...and it can be therapeutic too :)
ReplyDeleteThe piece under the machine looks cute too!
These look quite intriguing....
ReplyDeleteI have missed about a week of this month and am so far behind that I feel I should just cut my losses and move forward. "The hurrier I go, the behinder I get" is something my mother used to say. Love your art you are working on. Pretty brave to just cut off the bottom of your quilt but I know you have something fabulous in mind. I am so enjoying reading the Twelves book...just a section at a time so I can absorb every word. Happy week to you...
ReplyDeleteI love that 'poof', it's gone! And I like what you left too.
ReplyDeleteLove all the bright colours that you have in the piece under the machine
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a pretty nice piece of fabric you "poofed" away. I really like the part you kept, as well as the piece in the machine.
