Ugh, can you believe that our temperatures got up to 90 here yesterday? It was mighty warm. Had to break out the shorts again.
I had a semi-productive day yesterday. As for the status on the piece of fabric I showed on my stretcher frame, all I did with that was heat set and soak to remove the resist. I'm hoping today I can start adding some more surface design.
But my major accomplishment yesterday was finishing the piece in the next photo. Okay, the photo isn't showing the entire piece. It's my shelter themed quilt for the Twelve by Twelve group and the big reveal is on the first of October.
I also added some new handspun yarns to my etsy shop yesterday. All of the following were added.
I also attended my local quilt guild meeting last evening. Hmmmm, oh yeah, I did a little knitting too. I'm trying my hand at knitting some fingerless gloves. The pattern directions are a little confusing, so I hope these turn out. One of these days I'd like to try a pair of socks.
A couple of you who commented on my meme post questioned my street cleaner phobia. I'll explain that now. This goes back to my childhood, when I lived in Portland, Oregon. I was about 4 to 6 years in age and whenever I'd be playing outside and hear the roar of the street cleaner coming down our street, I'd high-tail it to the house as the huge, monster looking machine really scared me. I have gotten over it, after years of therapy....tee hee!!!! Just kidding! Funny, how the song of the ice cream truck didn't scare me away.
Have a great weekend!
