The Final Journal Quilt for 2007

Wow OH Wow!!!! This is it folks! Number 52. I can't believe I did the whole year. I'm patting myself on the back right about now. I'm letting out a big breath that I finished it up and am done and have 52 small quilts to show for it. I won't be taking this on in 2008. I have other things I want to concentrate on. But I won't say that I will never consider something in future years.

Here's a look at all 52 quilts together. I will probably take each quilt out and display it for a week so that I can see them all again.

I've been getting requests from some of you about the blue bowl I showed about three posts ago. The book I used to learn how to do this is It's a Wrap by Susan Breier. This is a fun technique and a great way to use up scraps.

  2. What a great job! I know how difficult it is to keep something going for a whole year. Even a few months sometimes gets to be drudgery.

But you have done beautiful work here. I congratulate you.

  11. Oh wow, Terri! What an accomplishment! And all the journals quilts are fantastic. I have a niggling plan in my head to do an altered deck of cards, using the deck my mom used to play solitaire with. So far, I'm not fully committed to doing one a week. We'll see.
