Second Weaving Project

I'm really getting into weaving. Here is the second project I made...another scarf. The yarns I used in the warp are all novelty fibers. These are the yarns you see that run the length of the scarf and you can really see them in the fringe.

The weft yarn was a yarn by Noro and it is a blend of wool, cotton, and silk, and is very soft. I really like how the colors in this yarn graduate from one shade to the next.

  2. What are you weaving on? I've been having a loom itch after learning this skill...oh, about 40 years ago!

    1. I purchased a used 24" Beka rigid heddle loom recently. It's a table top loom, but it came with a stand.

    1. Susan, I first decided, before I even bought a loom, to take a class on Craftsy, just to see if I thought it was something I wanted to do. The class I took was Rigid Heddle Weaving and I watched for it to go on sale before I bought it. There are also many other videos on the internet, check YouTube. I also got some books that came with the loom when I bought it. If you think you are interested, a rigid heddle loom is a good loom to learn on, from what I've been reading.
