Quilting As I Go

I'm back to working on these girls again.  I've decided to combine them all in one wall hanging.

I'm trying out a new technique, a quilt-as-you-go method.  I learned this technique from another blogger,  MariQuilts over at The Quilting Edge.  MariQuilts generously provides a fabulous tutorial on her blog for this technique, so if you are so inclined to give it a try, I recommend her tutorial.

You can see in the photo above that I have two vertical sashing strips to add yet and then I will move on to the horizontal sashing strips.  And then the borders.

  1. These are wonderful. A friend tried to explain the quilt as you go process to me but I don't get it. Better check out that tutorial!

  4. Love everything you've been sharing lately, Terri -- the quilts, the cards, and especially the muses. All your creations have such character and whimsy.
