It's Chartreuse Time!

Today is the day the Twelve by Twelve members reveal their quilts made to a color play theme of chartreuse. The quilt I made and will submit as my official challenge piece (shown above) is actually my second version of the design. Read more about my quilt and the eleven other quilts for this challenge on the group's blog.

  1. That is a great quilt Terri! I saw the Twelve by Twelve book the other day at the new quilt store in Chanhassen...very cool!

  2. The best colour in the world when you live in a northern location is the colour chartreuse. It perks you up. The willow trees are such a shock to your senses and hope for great colours other than white. Love your quilt.

  3. Oh my goodness!! That is sooo beautiful! Very creative to chose a stamp! Love that color. It's my favorite. My daughter tells everyone in fabric stores, "did you know my mom's favorite color is UGLY GREEN"? lol

  8. This is just super fun with the cheerful flowers and postage stamp edging. I never really paid much attention to chartreuse but with all these 12x12 quilts I am really enjoying chartreuse...and I learned how to spell it! Happy Chartreuse Spring to you my dear...

  10. Both your 'stamp' quilts are beautiful! I do like your second one (shown here) a tad more as the background seems to work better with the flowers. Love the stamp edges and details!

  11. This is so pretty. Is is an actual replica of a stamp?

  12. Thank you so much everyone!!

@Ruth Anne Olson - No, it's not a replica, just something from my head. If it in any way resembles a stamp in real life, it would be a coincidence.

  15. I love chartreuse ... it's the perfect accent color! Your postage stamp quilt is wonderful!! I love the red-violet that you used to contrast with all those lovely chartreuse pieces. On the contrary, I think this border works better than the first one. It gives more of the white to frame it.

  16. That`s lovely and feels like spring. I also like your first version, it has a totally other message although there are only some little differents.
