Growin' Tulips

I finished stitching the binding last evening on Growin' Tulips. At this point I am declaring it finished even though I don't have a label or hanging sleeve on it yet. I'll do that later.

Here is detail on how I quilted the bottom border.

And now I've got quilt #4 in the series started and up on the design wall for background option consideration. I have decided on my purple flower fabrics and in this quilt the panels will be staggered with a border section added at the tops and bottoms. All I need to decide yet is if I want the background gradient to be flipped around like this photo.

Or do I want the background gradient to have the blue side up in all panels. Oh the decisions!

Hi Terri - LOVE the series. Not that you asked me or anything, but the fabric flipped looks more interesting. Thanks for sharing your work - so enjoyable to see it in progress!!!

I like the first option, but looking at your completed Tulips your first option flips it that way...so I'd go with your second option and mix it up a bit. Am I making any sense at all?? Lol
LOVE the series!

I like the second option better. I can concentrate on the flowers better without my eyes bouncing around the back fabrics too much.

Amazing work going on, Terri! And I love the border treatment. I continue to be in awe of how much you do, and how beautifully you do it! AND you're making homemade pies!

Your tulips are fabulous Terri! And I love the quilting you did on them.

The next one in the series will look great whichever way you orient the background...great colors.

Beautiful tulips Terri. I feel a soft breeze just by looking at it. And I love the interesting border at the bottom. Very creative.

Growin' Tulips is fantastic! Your border and quilting is perfect. My initial gut choice for your next in the series was the second photo but when I go back and study them I'm really torn. Could you make both?!

Loving that combination of colors in the blue orange piece and that border along the bottom is brilliant.
