And over here on my design wall are more rows of strips.

Here are the resulting scraps that are created from straightening out the strip edges. While these ended up in the garbage, they do look rather pretty.

So I think I will end up with two or more quilt backgrounds from all these strips. I'll know more on that when it comes time to calculate what size I want the background to be for the focal design.
Wow.... whatever it's going to be, the strips are lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh....don't toss those scraps....I've used them for bows on wrapped packages, and once for a spine decoration on a journal.
ReplyDeleteAlso in a bunch on a collage..
what's the matter with you?.....*L*
Gorgeous combination of fabrics....as usual! :))
ReplyDeleteThose scraps are great for stuffing pillows too!
ReplyDeleteI have been known to oversew too. Good to know there's more like me out there!
YOU'RE throwing away scraps??!! who are you and what have you done with Terri?!
ReplyDeleteI always overestimate just how much fabric is required for stuff like this. It really takes very little to get a lot!
ReplyDeletePS-I didn't comment on your entry into the online quilt festival. It is really, really beautiful!
Very pretty. What a great background.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the quilting!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing other people's creative process. Thanks for sharing your work. It is awesome!
