While I was working yesterday, my assistant found it very necessary to steal my chair. She does this quite often when I get up from the sewing machine to iron something or get something.

I'm going to get a second chair for my studio, so when she does steal my chair I can wheel her to the side and sit on the other chair and work. I haven't been able to find the right chair yet.

Wow, Abby gets her own chair! You are WAY too good of a mom.

You should show your young assitant who's the boss around there :)
She's such a gorgeous cat! I've been looking for a new chair for my studio too.
Abby is gorgeous, especially with that smug look on her face! She knows she is Queen!
I have a few of those chair stealers too. They do occasionally share with me. LOL!
So cute. Mine do the same thing but I've gotten STRONG! I move them to a nice warm spot!!!! However, there are many other times I have to let them have their way!
Another chair may just be the second throne for your chair warming assistant. LOL
How funny. It must run in the cat genes. My Suki stole my first chair, then my Sophie stole the second chair. I hate having to push one or the other out of the chair so I can sit at a machine.
Finding the optimum studio chair has been my lifelong pursuit LOL. My cats, however, sleep in any chair I buy... wish I could be less picky. ;)
How could you say no to that face??? Wouldn't happen! What a sweet baby:)
That's actually the best solution I've heard for the chair stealing. My wesite pulls the same thing with me when we are sitting on the couch together so I understand her game.
She's beautiful!
I think it's that it's your chair and it's nubby in texture. I have a similarly textured chair in my studio and my cat loves to take a running jump, land in the chair and sharpen her claws on the seat. Then she looks up at me, because, of course, I was going to sit down in it, smiles and says aren't you so proud of me?
I totally understand how you can't move her out of your chair. Good luck in your search for the perfect chair!
I think it's so funny, the things we do to accommodate our cats!
I have 3 seat thieves in my studio, but the worst is when they decide to nap atop a quilt while I'm busy cutting or ironing. Their cat beds are no competition for a fresh quilt or a warm seat. Good luck finding an alternate chair.
