Prizes and New Work

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that Sue and I are having a Two Creative Studios Summer Giveaway. I just wanted to share with you a photo of some of the prizes. A gorgeous book that Sue made, a giclee art print, and some fabulous hand dyed fabrics that we both created. You can read all about this fun prize giveaway here.

The next photo is something new I worked on last weekend. I tried some new things on the central/focal area of this piece and then fused it down onto the hand dyed background. I've started with the free-motion stitching. I'm not sure yet if I'm liking it or not. I'll work on it in my spare time and we'll see what happens.

And for those of you who have been wondering about the pink and cream quilt progress. Here it is!

I've been working on this a lot lately and I'm almost finished. I need to get this project done and out of the way because I have some other commitments that I need to get working on. There's just not enough hours in my days. Oh how I wish I didn't need to sleep...or mow the grass...or cook...or clean....

  7. I had those ladies drinking wine! Your version is much more wholesome:)

Can't wait to see how your "pod piece" progresses. They look like pods to me for lack of a better term:) You don't normally layer the parts of your pieces like that ( I don't think). Any reaction to working that way?

  10. Terri, the new work is VERY interesting (and pretty!) -- love the "pods". I almost wish you'd just kept going against that gorgeous background fabric, but knowing your work, I'm sure you'll come up with a fantastic finish for the fused piece. Can't wait to see the results!
