The November Embrace the Face challenge theme is lace. I've been thinking about what I could do for this theme and also wondering if I'd be able to complete it by the end of November. I have a few things I need to get to and complete and began to wonder if I'd even participate in the Embrace the Face challenge this month. But then, as I was looking around my studio, I saw this:
It has lace!!!!! I made it just last month and while I don't know if it officially counts as a challenge entry (since I made it in October), I'm going to submit it anyway. It really takes a load off of my plate and now I don't feel like I've missed out on participating.
Other things I'm working on include: my mathematics themed 12 x 12 quilt for the Twelve by Twelve group. It is due on December 1. I have my idea, and just this morning I sketched it out. Now....the execution!
Also, we are putting the finishing touches on issue 6 of Fibre&Stitch. I've been busy with my quilt guild newsletter. I have a couple new classes I really need to get started on creating. My local gallery is having a December cash and carry art show and I'd like to put some pieces in there. Sigh.....I hope I can get all this done.....Oh! And I still need to make some Christmas gifts......argh!!!!!!
By the way, the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) One Foot Square auction is currently underway. There are so many beautiful quilts for sale in this three-part reverse auction. I submitted a piece for the auction too, and it is included in group 2b which will begin on November 18. For more information about the One Foot Square auction, visit here.
