Painted Daisies

painted daisies art quilt
I finished! I spent most of the weekend painting on this quilt and finished this evening. I really like how it turned out. But I gotta tell you....there's a lot of paint on there. I very much enjoyed this process and I think I'll probably explore it some more.

Here's something else I made this weekend. Mmmmm yummy! Hot fudge cake.

yummy dessert

  1. Interesting how 2 artists approach the same technique and have different outcomes--makes it all exciting to see!

  2. This one has really come to life since you posted the other day. I like it a lot. Are you using regular acrylic paint of fabric?

  8. Deidre work is wonderful isn't it? I played with the technique myself a few months ago, and I may do more with this techniqe at some point also. I love the texture that it creates. You have managed to use Deidre's techniqe, and really make it your own.

  9. This is the first I've seen of quilting first and then painting the picture. Fascinating! This technique seems to lend itself especially well to your painting style. The quilting lines and texture are there and very much a part of your "stroke" as apposed to being an addition.
