Journal Quilt #50

fabric art journal quilt
Woo Hoo! Week 50. Two more to go. For this week's quilt I used up some of the square corners that I cut off when I'm making handbags. Cutting these corners off helps create the gusset of the handbags. I have a ton more of these...I'll have to come up with some more ways to use them up.

  1. Isn't it particularly rewarding when we are able to make something really cool from the reminants of something else we made??? This is really cute and I'm assuming you stamped the fabric, too?

  3. They're great. As is the journal quilt. Last few bags I made, I threw the corners I cut off away (gasp) - but they were quilted ones so I don't think I could have used them this way.

Anyway, if you run out of ideas for how to use these bits, you could always do what I do and give them away on your blog :)

That's a nice way to use all these little scraps.
