Happy December

Have you got all your holiday shopping and preparations done? I'm sitting in pretty good shape myself and am just waiting on a couple mail order items to arrive so that I can wrap them and get them ready. I haven't put up the Christmas decorations just yet. Bob and I did a thorough house cleaning this morning so now I feel I can get the tree up and decorate. I may do that later today or tomorrow.

If you are in need of some holiday ideas, here is one for that crafty friend who has everything. Make a purchase at www.mistyfuse.com during December 1 — 31 and Iris of Attached, Inc. will donate 20% of the sale to the American Cancer Society through Fiberart For A Cause.

Also, if you visit Virginia Spiegel's Fiberart For A Cause and subscribe to the wonderful Art, Nature, Creativity, Life, you will be eligible for some wonderful prize drawings to be held throughout December. More details here.

And if you've been good and have read this far, you may be eligible for a giveaway from me. Simply leave a comment on this post and you'll be in the drawing for the felted pouch below. And there is a surprise inside. I'll announce the winner next Friday (Dec. 7).

  1. Well, I was going to leave a comment anyhow, so here you go!
I am about 33% done with shopping, and need to do some more research on a couple of things. I am making a bunch of stuff and of course, way behind. Gotta really get cranking on the homemade gifts!

  9. I made a few Christmas cards. Otherwise, I'm nowhere in my preparations!
I baked lots of gingerbread stars and trees today, but of course they will only last for a few days because of all these hungry boys roaming free in the house...

  12. we dont do christmas, just small practical prezzies for close family. No tree, no cooking, no television, feet up with a hot drink and the radio.

  15. I love felting, but although I can wear some wool, I cannot knit with the pure wool required for felting. All those fibers flying around is too much for my allergies.

  16. Oh now how could I resist such a lovely little pouch? And I just NEED to know what is inside ;0)

  17. Terri - Don't include me in the drawing (although, oh, la, la!). I just wanted to give a very public THANK YOU for mentioning Fiberart For A Cause's fundraisers.
I appreciate your support and that of the most generous people on Earth - fiber artists!

  23. I love the felted pouch. I'm about 75% done with my Christmas shopping. I'm hoping to get some decorating done tomorrow and Saturday when I'm off work. Baking will have to wait until we have a working oven again!
