Lots to Share Today

First of all, thanks to everyone for you birthday wishes. Now, on with the show....

The first two photos are postcards I received from Fiber Art Friends members who are participating in the birthday swap. The first one is from Elaine. A colorful and fun card...thanks Elaine, I love it.

The next postcard is from Carol. It was a bit hard to photograph as it is very shiny and shimmery. It is so beautiful, I wish you all could see it in person. Thank you Carol!

This next photo shows not a postcard, but a postcard-sized padfolio which came from Lynda. It is for the same swap, but Lynda decided to "wow" all of us April birthday gals with a mini padfolio. It is totally awesome. It is the perfect color to carry in the Go Girl Handbag I'm currently using, and the perfect size. Lynda also included in the package the three little beads shown next to the padfolio. It's a bit hard to see but there are kitties on the beads. Thanks Lynda, you are so generous.

Also included in Lynda's package to me, was this kittie postcard. It is so darling. The information on the back of the card states that Richard Barrett is the artist and the kitty design is named "Malcolm Loves to Meditate".

Once I saw it I knew that I had to do an interpretation of it in fabric...thus my journal quilt for the week. Journal Quilt #16:

  2. Oh wow Terri. Amazing. This looks better than the actual card. I had two cat postcards and I originally intended to send the other one - it had 9 cats on in rows of 3 in different shades of red, ideal with the padfolio. But something made me put it back and pick this one up instead! Spooky or what!
