Class Samples

Today I am working on four small quilts. These will measure 12" x 12" when done.

I sandwiched them all today with batting and backing fabric. My favorite basting method is fusing the layers together. I cut up pieces of Mistyfuse and scatter them over the batting surface and then press the layers together. No basting pins to worry about!

I will have a lot of thread tails to bury but I don't mind. It's good hand work when sitting in front of the TV.

I don't do many dog designs, but thought I'd add one in the mix. I know not everyone out there is a cat lover, like me.

I am teaching a class on making these quilts at a local quilt show this fall. The students will get to choose one of the four patterns to use in class.  The quilt show is put on by my quilt guild and is called Capital Quiltfest. It is held every two years in Bismarck, North Dakota. The dates this year are Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2014.
