A Little Sewing

Well I finally got around to a little bit of sewing.  And with this project, it definitely was a little bit. I made this doll for my granddaughter, Rylee. The last couple of times or so when she is over, she latches onto a doll that I made several years ago that is displayed in my living room. She seems to love it and the last time she was here we had a hard time getting it away from her. That doll wasn't made with children in mind and has a few items on it that are not child safe.

So I thought I would make a doll just for her. One that she can keep if she wants to. She does have a larger doll and the one she always wants when she is over is sort of small...like maybe 7 to 8 inches tall. It made me wonder if she is liking that size since she always wants it. So I found a doll pattern that is just a little over 8 inches in size and made it for her. I hope she likes it.

And here are some recent photos of my Rylee. It is hard to get an unblurry photo of her as she is always moving. In just a few days she will be 11 months old.

And in other news...

The results of Lilla Roger's Global Talent Search were announced yesterday. You can see the 50 entries that were chosen to proceed to the next round by clicking here. Out of the 50 that won, you can definitely see a style that seemed to be preferred by the judges. And yes, I did not make it into the final 50. That's okay. It was a good experience. I'm sure it's hard to choose 50 finalists out of over 1500 entries.  Yikes.
