Happy Dance

I'm very excited as I found out within the past two days that I am going to go to Houston at the end of the month for the International Quilt Festival. Some of you may recall that I attended last year (my first time there) and I worked in the Mistyfuse booth. Well that is what I'll be doing again this year.

I'll get to, again, see and stay with Sue B and Iris. And I know there are a few of you out there that are planning to attend, and I'm looking forward to meeting you too!

Below is a newly spun yarn that I did yesterday. It is from a new batch of wool batts that just arrived from my friend Linda. She created some batts for me to my color specs and this one is very lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing how the others spin up.

And here is the progress on my sweater. I had to stop when I got to the top neck shaping area of the back piece as the instructions were very confusing. Luckily, early in the week my parents were visiting and my Mom is a knitter from way back. She thought, too, that the instructions were confusing and could have been written much differently. But she helped me muddle through it and I've now completed the backside. I've made a start on the left front.

Reminder: I just wanted to remind you, in case you've been thinking about it, that my class Mixed Media Collage for the Fiber Artist will begin on October 13. This is a new class that will run for the first time and I'm very excited about it. For information on this workshop, please visit the Two Creative Studios web site or click here for this particular class.

Also Sue has a new class beginning on October 10, Silk Fusion. For more information, click here.

I'd like to thank all of you who have commented recently. I love your comments and I'm not able to thank everyone personally. I've noticed some new visitors that have been commenting and wanted you to know that I'm so pleased you are visiting. I very much enjoy meeting new people, even though it's in cyberspace.

Have a happy weekend!
