Great Mail Day

Oh Joy! I received items today from two swaps I'm in. This first picture is the Spring Fabric Postcard Swap items I received. Aren't they great? I know, I know, it's not spring anymore....well I say "Better Late Than Never".

The next photos show the items I received in the swap "Rainbow Fabric Pages". Each participant was to choose a color and make their pages in that color. In the end you should have a colorful bunch of pages.....I'm thinking about putting eyelets in each of my pages and tying them together to make a fabric book.

Wowser!

It's been awhile since my last post. Well I guess I could give the excuse that I've been busy with life......yep......that's the one I'll use. Anyway, I did finish up a bird house this week. It's pyroengraved and painted, then varnished. Hope a little birdy likes it.

Another Monoprint Exercise

Here is the latest example from my monoprinting class. Not too sure if I like this technique. I'll think about it longer.

Finished my Fuchsia ATC's

I thought I'd better get them posted here before I send them off. Made two sets of four. I sewed fuchsia fabric strips to peltex stabilizer, then cut them to size (2.5" x 3.5"). Next I crocheted the flower/star shapes. Attached those with a button and some shimmery fabric cut into strips. I love this color. It is so cheerful.

I got goodies in the mail

The lace ATC's have arrived and they are great! I just love getting these in the mail. Thanks to all who made these, you did a wonderful job. Now I gotta go plan my next round of ATC's. The next theme is fuschia.

What I've been doing...

Uh oh! I haven't been posting lately. Either I've been lazy or busy.......I'll let you decide. I got my art dolls finished up and mailed off (pic posted earlier). The first two pics are my gel glue batiks I did for my monoprinting class. The next is neocolor II crayon rubbings for the same class.

Then I was busy making a few fabric flowers. The picture turned out awful.
