Happy Memorial Day

Hope everyone's weekend is going great. I've sure had a busy one. My mother and father in-law celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and I was busy baking and such. I also got a few crafty things done in between and these spring fabric flower postcards are one of the projects I was able to complete. I had to make 5 (they are all the same) for a swap I'm involved in with the yahoo group I belong to.

I also joined (from the same group) another swap for art dolls. I've made cloth dolls before, but never anything artsy.....so this photo is my prototype. I'm very pleased with how she turned out. I had made the face with polymer clay and a mold some time ago and had just never done anything with it. And if you'll look close......the body fabric is the leftovers from my "green fabric pages" posted earlier. I tried a new technique for her wings.....free motion embroidery on water soluble stabilizer. Doesn't she look peaceful?
